A leather sheath is the perfect companion for your Chinese Chef’s Knife, offering safe and secure storage if you happen to be travelling with your knife, or plan to keep your knife in a drawer with other utensils. Protecting your knife with a leather sheath ensures the longevity of your blade to extend periods between sharpening.

Fragrant Knives' sheaths are carefully handmade in Yangjiang from the finest, veg-tanned full-grain leather for a rich and durable quality. Created from the top layer of animal hide that has preserved natural imperfections and marking, each sheath has its own character, with slight variations in tone and colouring. The sheaths are wax-finished for increased water, stain and dirt resistance, and for a high-shine effect.

Over time, the leather will develop a unique patina that becomes more beautiful as it ages, and with care your sheath will last as long as the knife it holds.

Try to avoid contact with water, and take care to fully dry the knife before storing it in the sheath. If the sheath does become wet or comes into contact with food, remove the knife, wipe down with a damp cloth and allow it to dry naturally away from direct heat.
